The top photo shows the original truck being delivered to my house. After that the cab and grill shell were removed and the rest of it was sold to my father. Than I purchased an after market frame, engine from a friend “Flathead V-8”, and a donor Chevy S-10 for the transmission “T-5”. Then I started to fabricate the parts needed to build and put the truck together. This stage would have followed the Agile project method since the final concept was being developed as it was being built. Once that stage was completed the entire vehicle was disassembled, painted part by part, and put back together. The final phase of the project followed a more traditional project method since you cannot change the design of a piece once it is painted. The entire project took four years and my father used the original running gear to build another truck with additional parts he already had. This project is special to me since my father and the friend I purchased the engine from have since passed away.
